Changing Exchange Settings in EWS Plugin Forces Unmapping
Question:
How can I change my Client Secret in the RMS Enterprise Interface for Microsoft Exchange Web Services without re-mapping all my locations?
Answer:
Currently, any changes to the Exchange connection information in the plugin will force all rooms to be un-mapped. Here is the process around having to re-map all of the locations:
- Stop Tomcat on the RMS server.
- Stop the RMS Enterprise Scheduling Interface for Exchange service.
- Copy the entire Exchange Scheduling Interface folder to a different location as a backup, the default locations for the folder is C:\Program Files\AMX\Resource Management Suite.
- Start Tomcat on the RMS server.
- Open the ExchangeSchedulingConfiguration program.
- Once the RMS server is accessible again, test and save the RMS server settings on the configuration program.
- Stop Tomcat on the RMS server
**Note**:
This step is very important, not performing this step will cause the next step to wipe out all mapping information.
- Change the connection information, click Test Connection, and click Save Exchange Settings.
- A warning will appear. Select Yes to proceed.
- Close the EWS configuration program.
- Stop the RMS Scheduling Interface for Exchange service.
- Restore the saved Exchange Scheduling Interface folder to its original location.
- Start Tomcat on the RMS server.
- Open the EWS configuration program and close the program.
