Brand:
- JBL
Affected Products:
- AW Series All Weather Loudspeakers (specifically AW295, AW526, and AW566)
Summary:
- A manufacturing quality issue has been identified across certain JBL All Weather (AW) series loudspeaker models. Due to structural misalignment, installers are unable to properly fit and mount the input back plate securely into the loudspeaker cabinet. This condition mirrors identical physical alignment defects previously documented on AW566 and AW526 variants.
Troubleshooting:
- If you are experiencing difficulty installing or fastening the rear input panel assembly to your AW series cabinet:
- Visually check the mounting hole alignment of the back plate against the cabinet's integrated threaded inserts.
- Do not attempt to force the backing plate into position, as this may compromise the weather-resistant seal of the enclosure.
- If the assembly cannot be fitted smoothly due to misalignment, the unit must be replaced with a verified factory-clean loudspeaker.
If the procedure above did not resolve your issue, please contact HARMAN Service for next steps.
