Is there an alternative low-frequency speaker for the Control 25, as the original seems to be obsolete now? Could the Control 25-1 speaker be used in the older model?

Answer:

Yes, they are the same size (5.25", 133mm) and voiced closely but they are not exactly the same. For most applications it would work well with the improved speaker of the newer model (P/N: 5064579 - WOOFER, CONTROL 25-1).
