Soundcraft Ui24R Beta Firmware Program - Version 3.6.8341:
Overview
HARMAN is pleased to announce the availability of a public beta firmware for the Soundcraft Ui24R. Firmware Version: 3.6.8341 (Beta)
This beta release is intended to gather feedback from customers experiencing specific issues and to validate several new improvements before a future public release. If you are interested in participating, please complete the Microsoft Forms registration below. The registration form will ask for:
- First Name
- Last Name
- To select the issue/s or feature/s you would like to help test
Participants will be selected manually and receive the Beta firmware via their e-mail.
Important Disclaimer:
Warning: This firmware is a beta test build and has not completed full production validation.
By installing this firmware, you acknowledge that you are doing so entirely at your own risk. Beta software may contain known or unknown issues that could affect the operation of your Ui24R.
HARMAN recommends installing this firmware only if you are comfortable participating in testing and providing feedback.
If you are granted access to this beta firmware, please do not redistribute, share, upload, or otherwise provide the firmware to other users. Participation in the beta program is intended only for approved testers.
If you are unfamiliar with updating firmware on your Ui24R, please review the installation guide before proceeding. Please use the manually provided Beta Firmware for testing only!
Known Issues for Beta Testing:
- The following areas require customer feedback during this beta program.
System Freeze / 10–20 Second Dropout Investigation:
The highest priority of this beta is investigating reports where the Ui24R temporarily becomes unresponsive during normal operation. When this issue occurs, users may experience a 10–20 second interruption, sometimes longer where the entire system appears to stop responding. Symptoms may include:
- Loss of mixer control from connected devices
- HDMI output disconnecting or displaying the Soundcraft logo while reconnecting
- Audio playback stopping
- Meters and all activity freezing where a ‘connecting’ message shows on the connected device
- Network control becoming unavailable
The mixer then eventually recovers without requiring a reboot (in some cases). Because the Ui24R hosts its own internal web server, this interruption affects both local and remote control of the mixer.
USB Drive Requirements
The USB drive used for log collection must be:
- 32 GB or smaller
- Formatted as FAT32
Detailed instructions for the Freeze, collecting logs, uploading them, and submitting feedback are available below.

Expanded HDMI and USB Touchscreen Compatibility Testing:
This beta firmware expands compatibility with additional HDMI displays and USB touchscreens. We are looking for customers who own supported touchscreen hardware to verify compatibility and report their experience. Areas we would like testers to evaluate include:
- Does the touchscreen function correctly?
- Are touch locations accurately aligned with the user interface?
- Do mixer faders track correctly?
- Are buttons and controls responsive?
- Is multi-touch supported?
- If so, how many simultaneous touch points are recognized?
- Are there any calibration or usability issues?
The new supported touchscreen PID/VID compatibility list and feedback forms can be found at the link below

Hotspot Wi-Fi Improvements:
The Ui24R includes a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot for direct wireless control. This beta includes changes to improve hotspot behavior. After performing a Ui Full Reset, the hotspot should automatically be configured with the default password specified in the user manual:
-
Default Password:
scuiwlan
We are asking beta participants to confirm:
- The hotspot is created successfully after a Full Reset.
- The default password is correctly set to scuiwlan.
- Wireless clients can connect successfully.
- Overall hotspot reliability has improved.
- General Wi-Fi performance and stability have improved.
Please submit your findings using the dedicated feedback page below.

How to best provide Feedback:
Your feedback is an important part of improving the Ui24R. Whenever possible, please include:
- Steps required to reproduce the issue (if applicable)
- Photos or videos (when helpful)
- Diagnostic log files
The more detailed your report, the more effectively our engineering team can investigate and resolve issues. Each individual page has instructions for giving feedback and the items of what we are looking for.
Thank you for participating in the Soundcraft Ui24R Beta Program and for helping us improve the product for the entire Ui community
