Description:
Dante objects can be found in the VIRTUAL Library under the Dante category.

Dante Rx, or receive, is used to route audio from other Dante devices to the OMNI DSP using Audinate’s Dante Controller application. Conversely, Dante Tx, or transmit, is used to route audio from the OMNI DSP to other devices using the Dante Controller application.

This is referred to as Public Dante. Wires connecting Public Dante objects are shown as solid lines.
Routing between OMNI devices such as DSPs and Expanders uses a different kind of Dante called Private Dante. These lines are shown as dashed in AVX Architect.

This is covered in greater detail in a separate article.
The default factory panel will display segmented meters if they have been enabled in the OPTIONS, along with a set of controls to change how they display.

Rise Time and Fall Time adjust how slowly or quickly the meter responds to the signal. Lower times show instantaneous values, whereas higher times display a more averaged level over time.

Offset is used to slew the center of the meter up or down.

This is useful when metering very quiet signals below the normal threshold of the meter. This does not change the gain of the signal but only how the signal is displayed on the meter.
Channel Connected is only on the Dante Rx block. This will turn green when there is an active subscription between this receiver and the associated transmitter.

At the top of the factory panel, the usual object name, lock button, and selection mode switch are present.

The PROPERTIES pane includes the usual naming, workspace location, and DSP allocation options.

The Meters On/Off selection toggles the display of the meters in the factory panel.

In 512p there are two Dante cards each supporting 256x256 channels. This setting selects which Dante card the block is assigned to.

Each of these Dante cards is displayed separately in Dante Controller. Selecting Edit next to Dante Channels allows the addition or removal of Dante channels from the object block.

Turning Lock Dante Channels on will lock this Dante channel in place on the card preventing it from being reassigned if other Dante channels are added or deleted from the card.
