• Soundcraft Vi Series consoles manufactured in 2024 that utilize a newly implemented Master Control Unit (MCU) module can experience severe startup stability and power-on failures. Units exhibit an unstable boot sequence or fail to complete the boot cycle entirely.
   
• Investigation revealed that the primary root cause stems from an operating system behavior where Windows occasionally fails to correctly save or recall the proper software display ordering sequence upon boot.  This behavior is a software/firmware-level anomaly inherent to the OS integration on the master image rather than a physical malfunction of the updated hardware modules (such as the ComExpress module).

Troubleshooting:

• If a console experiences an unstable boot sequence or fails to initialize:

1. Verify Hardware Profile: Confirm if the console was manufactured in 2024 or has been serviced with the updated 2024 MCU board/module architecture.
    
2. Execute Boot Cycle Stress Test: Run 10 to 15 continuous manual boot cycles to evaluate structural stability and confirm whether the unit fails intermittently.
    
3. Correct Software Display Order: If the unit powers on successfully but exhibits abnormal operation or freezes, follow the official Working Instruction (WI) documentation to manually reconfigure and force-save the correct Windows display layout order.
    
4. Collect Debugger Logs: If the display layout adjustment does not resolve the issue, export the internal system debugger log file. If the root cause cannot be deduced locally, the physical console must be routed to specialized service centers (e.g., Gábor in Pécs) for deeper analysis.
