Question:
What sample rates can my Vi console operate at?
Answer:
- Vi1: 48kHz only
- Vi2: 48kHz only
- Vi4: 48kHz only
- Vi6: 48kHz only
- Vi1000: 48kHz only
- Vi2000: 48kHz only
- Vi3000: 48kHz only
- Vi5000: 48kHz; 96kHz (With 8 DSP cards)
- Vi7000: 48kHz; 96kHz (With 8 DSP cards)
Question:
What will my Vi5000/7000 need in order to operate at 96kHz?
Answer:
- You will need 8 DSP cards installed to the Local Rack.

2. From Control Surface: MENU>SETTTINGS>DSP Config to enable 64ch/96kHz
Part Number:
DSP Card: RS2401SP
Question:
What can I do to get my Vi2/4/6 operating at 96kHz?
Answer:
Neither the Vi2, Vi4, or Vi6 Control Surface can operate at 96kHz, even with the Vi400/600 upgrade module. Only 48kHz is supported. The only way this is possible is by upgrading your local rack with the Vi5000/7000 upgrade kit and purchasing a Vi5000/7000 control surface. Matching a Vi400/600 Control Surface with a Vi5000/7000 local rack configuration will NOT make the system 96kHz compatible. A Vi5000/7000 Control Surface is required!

Question:
Can I use the Compact Stagebox (CSB) with my Vi5000/7000 and still operate at 96kHz?
Answer:
No, the Compact Stagebox cannot operate at 96kHz, only 48kHz is supported.
Question:
Can I use the standard Vi Stagebox with my Vi5000/7000 and still operate at 96kHz?
Answer:
Yes, the standard Vi Stagebox is required to operate at 64ch/96kHz.
Question:
Do I need a specific analog card capable of converting to 96kHz?
Answer:
No, our analog cards hold no bearing on sample rate. You just need the Large Vi Stagebox, matched with a Vi5000/7000 Control Surface, & Vi5000/7000 Local Rack in order to operate at 64ch/96kHz.
