How do you turn off/disable security on an NX controller?
Answer:
Sometimes it is necessary to disable the security on server ports on an NX controller. When upgrading from 1.6.x to 1.8.x or greater, you must disable the authentication on server ports before doing the upgrade. To disable authentication on server ports:
- Login to the controller's web page
- Click on Security -> General
- Uncheck the box labeled Authenticate on Server Ports
- Click the Accept button at the bottom of the page
- Reboot the controller
