Question:
My Mac Quantum Profile is showing P/T ERROR but I have already changed the sensors and re-adjusted the calibrations of pan and tilt.
Answer:
If the sensors have been changed and no result, then this issue below could be the next cause.
This is a common problem with the magnets detaching from the shaft of the stepping motors due to heat over time, causing the sensor to not read the rotations from the stepping motor on pan and tilt. This can be resolved by re-gluing the magnet back into the original position and calibrating the pan and tilt from the service settings on the display if its not a sensor issue.
Additional Information:
- Replace sensors and re calibrate first, if this does not work then check the magnets on the stepping motors.
- If magnets have come loose re glue the magnets back in or replace the motors then re calibrate the pan and tilt.
