Question:
Is it normal to have humidity inside in brand‑new fixtures for example on the front lens, will it disappear once the unit warms up?
Answer:
A light amount of condensation on the front glass can be considered normal, particularly with IP‑rated fixtures that have been transported between places with significant temperature differences. Under normal operation, any residual moisture should be expelled through the Gore‑Tex valve or the designated internal channels as the fixture warms up.

To remove the moisture we recommend the following steps, which should help dry the inside of the unit:
- Place the fixtures so they are pointing straight down, switch them on at full output, and temporarily remove the Gore‑Tex valve (if the unit has one).
- Let the fixtures run in this setup for about 15 minutes.
- After that, reinstall the Gore‑Tex valve and switch the fixtures off.
Once this has been done, please monitor the fixtures during the next few times when it is in use. If you notice a similar level of moisture appearing again, that could be considered as an issue. Otherwise, a small amount of condensation is usually not something to be concerned about.
