Question:

When should N-Command be used for control of SVSi equipment?

Answer:

N-Command can optionally be used in any SVSi environment.

It is recommended that N-Command be used in all environments where more than 50 devices are to be controlled.

The N-Command is capable of handling a theoretically unlimited number of connected SVSi devices (simulated testing in excess of 4000 units has been achieved), and requires only a single IP connection to external control equipment such as a Netlinx or Muse controller.

Available control IP connections available in Netlinx/Muse (and many other control systems) vary from installation to installation, based on the number of other IP controlled equipment used in the system and often max out at less than 200 connections.
