Overview:
This article walks through updating the firmware on JBL SRX900 Series loudspeakers using the NetSetter utility within JBL Performance. It covers discovering compatible devices, applying firmware updates, and verifying a successful installation
Connecting in Performance:
- First, power on all network devices and connected speakers. If this is your first time connecting to the speakers inside JBL Performance, follow our Initial Setup walkthrough here.
Updating the Firmware:
- Once the speakers are discovered in Performance, you will receive a notification banner if there are Firmware updates available for your speakers.

- Navigate to Netsetter, select the speaker, then select the new Firmware version. Click ‘Apply Changes’ to begin the update process.

- Once the update is underway, you will see it go through 3 stages: transferring, updating, and rebooting. Expect the speaker to disappear from NetSetter during the Reboot phase.

- Following the reboot, the speaker should reappear inside NetSetter, listing the new Firmware version.
