Setting Amp Channels to Auto Standby with DCi Amplifiers
How to configure independent amp channels to enter a low-power Auto Standby state based on user-adjustable settings.
Transcript
DCI amplifiers with network control and DSP have an auto standby feature that can be enabled to independently power down amplifier channels enabling the auto standby feature further reduces power consumption when the amplifier is not in use Auto standby is configured using high Q nuts audio architect software to activate this feature with an audio architect double-click on the virtual representation of the amplifier to open the default device panel next open the amplifier settings window by double clicking on the amp icon for the channel you wish to configure the auto standby controls are located in the lower right corner of this window first determine the threshold in DB select anywhere between negative eighty and zero in this example it will be set to negative 60 dB next select the turn off delay time anywhere between zero and 240 minutes in this example one minute finally turn the auto standby feature on by clicking the button to the on state when the input signal does not exceed the threshold for the duration of the designated turn off delay time the amplifier channel will power down in this case when no audio above negative 60 B is sense for one minute the channel will power down when in Auto standby they're ready light on the front panel of the amplifier will blink to indicate the channel is no longer powered the software will also indicate this by illuminating the auto standby indicator Audio will automatically begin passing about two seconds after the input threshold has been reached thank you for watching this video for questions comments or suggestions regarding this or any other video please send them to the email address shown below for technical assistance please call the technical support department or email them at the options shown below.
