Programming SVSI in RMS:
When it comes to programming SVSI devices into RMS, there a couple of additional steps you must take. To monitor SVSI devices you must use virtual devices in place of the physical device numbers normally used when registering and monitoring devices. When a device is registered to RMS with a physical device number the RMS system checks that device ID against a database of known AMX devices.
Currently, SVSI devices are not contained in that database, so to work around this limitation you can use virtual devices as a temporary work around. Attached to this tech note are a couple of different examples for using virtual devices in place of the normal physical device numbers. These files include modified monitor modules that you can use as examples for what you many need.
