Prerequisites

When updating firmware, units will take 10-15 minutes to complete their update.

A new process for updating units is being employed.  As a result, two major changes are needed.  The first change is a minimum version of N-Able that must be used.  Please see the N-Able link below:

N-Able PC:
Minimum version of N-Able must be 5.1.27,
https://help.harmanpro.com/n-able-software-update

The second required change is to enable maintenance mode on encoders and decoders before updating firmware.  Please follow these instructions on enabling maintenance mode:
https://help.harmanpro.com/how-to-enable-maintenance-mode-on-encoder-decoder

Upgrading to PHP 7.4 (v1.15.71) will take a while (30 - 60 minutes).  Once the PHP is updated, subsequent upgrades will take the average 10-15 minutes to complete.

Known Issues

  • Later built Panasonic PCT2485 touchscreens must be connected and powered before powering up decoder or the USB connection will hang until decoder rebooted.  Powering up both units at the same will also work.
