What is the purpose of those two openings on the head cover of the MAC Aura Raven XIP?

These openings are designed to allow any water that may have entered the fixture, specifically through the BeamShaper connector cover, to safely drain out. While the BeamShaper connector itself is fully waterproof, the surrounding cover is not sealed. Therefore, these drainage slots are there so that the water does not accumulate inside the fixture.​
