Table of Contents
Introduction
Troubleshooting Vo IP issues can be difficult especially if they are intermittent. One solution for this is to setup a syslog server. Syslog provides a way to log activities from the BLU Vo IP card side.
This guide will walk you through the process.
Get the software
There are many free syslog server programs available on the internet today. For this guide we will be using Hercules.

Setting up the Syslog Server
Hercules is a standalone executable so you just run it once you download it.
Allow the program through the windows firewall.

Set it up like this using UDP and port 514

You don't need to worry about the module IP address.
Setting up the BLU103
Open a web page and type in the ip address of the BLU103 Vo IP card. (Hint: you must be on the VOIP network and have IP address in the same range).

The Username is: bssaudio
The Password is: monkey
This will bring up the Insta Vo IP page for the Vo IP card.
Set up like this:

Notice 192.168.254.35 is the IP address of my computer running Hercules.
Don’t forget step 4 save changes which will restart the card.
In Hercules select the Listen button.

You should see open port and Data will start populating in the receive window. It may take a minute. Information will be logged real-time as long as the syslog server is running.
