Summary:
To improve long-term reliability and reduce thermal stress on critical components, we've introduced an improved power-supply design along with a firmware update (version 1.2.0) for ELP Ellipsoidal fixtures in July, 2024.
When the LED board temperature reaches approximately 70°C, the fixture automatically reduces output power by 10W.
Troubleshooting:
In some earlier product versions, rare power supply failures have been linked to the NTC thermistor used in the PSU input circuit. A failed or damaged thermistor may result in the fixture not powering on, intermittent operation, unexpected shutdowns, or thermal-related fault symptoms. To avoid that, please update the fixtures to the latest available firmware version. If you have an already faulty PSU, please replace it with a new, upgraded one.
