Will the DVX-2265 or the DVX-3266 pass surround sound through the Dante ports?
Answer:
No, the DVX will not pass surround sound through the Dante ports.
Surround sound over Dante is handled as individual channels. Left would be one Dante channel, Right would be another, Center would be another, etc.
The DVX is not able to decode those individual Dante channels and put them back together as surround sound nor will it break surround sound up into individual Dante channels.
The DVX will pass surround sound from a HDMI or DXLINK input to a HDMI or DXLINK output when the scaler is in bypass.
