DSi 2.0 - Issues addressed in firmware v1.1.13.1
Problem Description
This release addresses a bootup issue that is encountered under the following circumstances. All of the below statements have to be true to replicate the issue.
- DSi 2.0 Amplifiers are connected via Analog Inputs to Dolby CP750 or CP950 Analog outputs.
- The CP950/CP750 has a valid AES Input connection from a media Server.
- There is no Audio signal present on the AES Connection.
- Analog output gain on CP950/CP750 is high +6 to +16
It was found that the Dolby devices generate a 260kHz signal when there is no AES audio signal, but a valid AES clock is present. This interrupted the boot sequence of the amplifiers.
Problem Fix
DSi2.0 firmware v1.1.13.1 bypasses a boot up sequence that was responsible for the interrupt.
This firmware was publicly fully released with Audio Architect 2.55.0.26. with the DSi2 firmware file date-stamped 12/16/2022. Its build date is 6/23/2022.
