Discrete Converter:
The Discrete Converter can be found in the Logic section of the VIRTUAL LIBRARY under Conversion.

The Discrete Converter provides a continuous output state when conditions defined in the configuration are met by the incoming Logic or GPI source.
In this example, a binary Logic Source is connected to the Discrete Converter.

Open the factory panel for the Discrete Converter and the Logic Source.

The factory panel displays two conditions based on whether the input state is on or off.

The output value can be set using the faders or by entering the value manually.

Changing the state of the logic source will toggle between the two output states for the converter.

In the OPTIONS section of the PROPERTIES pane, the mode can be changed from Fader to Selector.
In Selector Mode, the number of states can be defined in the Options section.

With only two states, the object behaves the same as in Fader Mode. Change the configuration to four states.
The percentage provided at the output will be divided among the states, excluding the first or 0 percent state.
For example, 100 percent will be divided into states two, three, and four.

As the input state remains on and cycles through the states, the output values will display 33 percent, 67 percent, and 100 percent.

This object is most useful when state selectors are incorporated with other forms of control or logic to switch between states.
