Question:

Why are the output channels mutes active every time I powerup the dbx PA2?

Answer:

The output mutes being active is the default state configured in the PA2. To change this setting please follow these instructions.

On the front of the PA2, the “Utility" menu is accessed by pressing the UTILITY button.  Turn the DATA wheel to scroll through the list of parameters.  Press the DATA wheel in to edit the selection.

Scroll down to the option “MUTES POWERUP".  There are 2 options available in this setting.

[CURRENT, MUTE ALL]

This option determines whether the PA2 will boot with the output mute settings last used when the device was powered down (CURRENT) or if it will always boot with all outputs muted (MUTE ALL).
