Different DCi Dante firmware files for different models
There are two versions of the Crown DCiDA amplifier: The BPS (Big Power Supply) DCi4x1250DA, DCi8x600DA, and the LPS (Little Power Supply) DCi4x600DA, DCI4x300DA and DCi8x300DA.
The internal Dante connections in these versions require different capability details in their Dante .DNT files in order to work correctly.
When does the port swap occur?
If you load a .DNT file into a DCiDA amplifier that doesn't match the capabilities correctly, a common symptom is the Primary and Secondary Dante ports will be swapped.
There are three main scenarios where this problem has occurred:
1. If you have loaded Soundweb London v4.2.3.13 Dante firmware into a DCi4x600DA, DCi4x300DA or DCi8x300DA. Another symptom if Soundweb London Dante firmware is loaded into any DCiDA model: only the first channel of Dante audio will work.
2. If you have loaded the DCIDA-4600-4300-8300.dnt file included with Audio Architect v2.25.0 or v2.45.1 into a DCi4x600DA, DCI4x300DA or DCi8x300DA.
The file included with Audio Architect v2.25.1 contains the correct Dante v4.0.7.8 Manufacturer Information for these amps. The one included with v2.25.0 and v2.45.1 does not.
3. If you have loaded the CrownDante.dnt file included with Audio Architect v2.25.0 or earlier into a DCi4x600DA, DCI4x300DA or DCi8x300DA.
How to fix the problem
The fix for any of these scenarios is to update the amp with the latest correct firmware.
