Dante Ready Licensing

Note: The Dante Ready License for the AMX N26x5 Wall Plate is purchased through the Dante Activator tool.

The following will outline the steps to update the AMX N26x5 non-Dante models to support Dante AV-A.

Procedure

Ensure the N26x5 devices are on a minimum firmware version of 1.3.8 before beginning. Once the devices are discovered in Dante Controller, they will show in red because they are not licensed.

1.  Launch Dante Activator from within Dante Controller. The following steps and screenshots will show the process of updating the N26x5 devices.
2. Once Dante Activator is running, click on Devices. The N26x5 devices should show in the “Recoverable" section.

3. Select the unit to recover and then click Recover. After checking the “I understand that video / audio will be interrupted" press the “Recover Now" button.

4. Once the process is completed, the below image will be displayed, confirming the successful progress. Repeat the above steps for each device that needs to be activated.

5. Start the licensing process by selecting the device under “New Activation." A listing of Upgrade options will be displayed. Select the options you wish and press “add to cart."
6. Ensure you have logged into the Dante Activator program to complete the activation processing. Once all devices are added to the cart, press the view cart button, which will show the screen below.

7. The activation screen will be shown next where you will need to click the “Activate Now" button to begin the process for each device shown in the cart.

8. Once completed the below screen will appear, confirming the successful activation of each device. Once completed and each device shows in the “Up-to-date" field, power-cycle each unit that was activated.

9. N26x5 devices should now show in N-Able with a Serial Number prefix as N26x5DWP
