Models:

  • DMM14 digital automatic microphone mixer

Which parameters determine the automix algorithm?

It blends dynamic level adjustment, Best Mic On selection and Noise Detect to open only dominant microphones.

What ratio does the channel compressor use?

The compressor works with a fixed 2:1 ratio; its threshold is adjustable from +20 dBu to –25 dBu.

Which variant supports Dante audio networking?

The DMM14 ULD routes all inputs and outputs as 24‑bit/48 kHz channels on a standard Dante network.

How much gain is available on each analogue input?

Front‑panel gain knobs adjust from 0 dB to +60 dB in one‑dB steps.

Is the headphone knob affected by System Control selection?

The HEADPHONE encoder always remains in LEVEL mode regardless of other settings.

Can the mixer be configured from a browser?

Yes, the UL and ULD provide an embedded web server for remote setup, monitoring and diagnostics.

What high‑pass settings are offered on the inputs?

A second‑order filter sweeps from 0 Hz (off) up to 150 Hz in 20 Hz steps.

How many mixers can I cascade for larger systems?

Up to ten units can be chained, giving 60 inputs, 20 outputs and 10 headphone jacks under a single automix.

What is the difference between the DMM14 U, UL and ULD models?

All three share identical audio features; UL adds Ethernet LAN control, while ULD adds both LAN and Dante networking.

How much delay can be applied to the main outputs?

OUT 1 and OUT 2 each provide up to 75 m of acoustic delay adjustable in 1 m steps.

Which channels feature the third‑octave equalizer?

Graphic EQ is available on the two stereo outputs; input channels use shelving Bass/Treble plus low‑cut.

How much mains power does a DMM14 draw?

The built‑in wide‑range supply consumes a maximum of 75 W from 100‑240 V AC, 50/60 Hz.

How much advantage does the priority channel get in automix?

A channel marked as Priority is evaluated 6 dB louder than others, ensuring it opens first.

Which automation systems connect over the serial port?

The three‑pin RS‑232 can load firmware and allows external control from AMX or similar systems.

How do I capture a programmed mix from the DMM14?

Use the fixed‑level unbalanced RCA pair labelled REC (OUT) on the rear panel.

Can I adjust the master volume with an external potentiometer?

Yes, a front Phoenix VCA port accepts a 50 kΩ linear pot to remotely fade both stereo sums together.
