Can I use third party RS-485 adapters to connect to Intellivox speakers?

Answer:

While we recommend the official Axys USB to RS-485 adapter we produce, any RS485 connection can work provided it uses the 4-wire RS485 standard. That said, most USB to RS485 adapters on the market today will only use the 2-wire standard. The USB adapters that do use the 4-wire standard may need to be configured to do so as they will most likely default to the 2-wire mode. Refer to the adapters User Manual for configuration options.
