Question:
How should I prepare my USB flash drive for use in Martin products?
Answer:
Martin fixtures with USB Type A or Type C can only read USB drives formatted in FAT32 and it doesn't support drives larger than 4GB and smaller USB drives are read faster.
USB drivers are often very large 32GB and up, so to get around this FAT32 size limit and also have fast read speed the USB drive will need to be partitioned into small sizes 1GB or smaller.
As an example here using windows disk management a large USB drive have been partitioned.
First a 1GB partition (D:) formatted as FAT32, for fixture firmware files as Martin fixtures only read the first partition.
Then a 56GB partition (E:) formatted as exFAT for other files, not readable by Martin fixtures.
