In this article, you will find troubleshooting steps to follow after a failed firmware update attempt.
Good practice:
- Ensure your speaker is powered on and sufficiently charged.
- Keep your mobile device within close range of the speaker.
- Do not interrupt the process once the firmware update begins.
Please follow these steps to Factory Reset speaker and Update Firmware:

Perform Factory Reset
Press MAIN/MENU knob, go to Settings, scroll down to Factory Reset, select Yes.

Clear Bluetooth Pairings
On your Mobile Device, go to Settings > Bluetooth
Remove (Forget) all previous connection with the speaker.
- Delete/Uninstall JBL Pro Connect app from your mobile device.

Power Cycle your Device
Power off and reboot your mobile device.

Reinstall the App
Download and reinstall the JBL Pro Connect app.
Optional: Test Bluetooth Audio Connection
Pair the speaker to your mobile device using BT Audio Pairing.

Reconnect the Speaker into the App.
Follow these steps to reconnect the unit back into the app:

C. Press on BT Control Pairing.

D. Open the JBL Pro Connect App and select Add Speaker.

E. Select Connect.

F. On the speaker it will verify the connection with a Pin Number, if it matches the app and press Yes.

G. Once connected select DONE and dismiss the prompt to reinstall the firmware

H. Navigate back to SETUP and remove the speaker by selecting the Trash Can icon.


Note:
Pair with BT Control to JBL Pro Connect app once again. Repeat steps from A to F and this time proceed with the firmware update.
Reminder:
Once the firmware update is completed, Factory Reset must be done.
