Question:   Answer: AES67 Support Receivers Transmitters

Question:

What is the difference between new and previous DMS800 systems?

Answer:

AES67 Support

· New DSR800 systems incorporate the Dante UXT chip with support for AES67 audio networking.

Receivers

· Improved RF filters and spectral efficiency allow Band-1 presets for 40 channels in 112 MHz compared to 41 channels in 150MHz.

· Previous DSR800 receivers are compatible with new 20mW DHT800/DPT800 transmitters.

· New DSR800 receivers are backwards compatible with previous 50mW DHT800/DPT800 transmitters.

· In order to assure backwards compatibility, select a preset from the new frequency pool or by manual tuning or use the "LIMIT FREQ. RANGE" option during Quick Setup. If the devices still fail to sync, please verify that the transmitters and receivers are in the same band version within Global Band 1 (not Band 1 UK, NZ or AU).

Transmitters

· Previous DHT800/DPT800 transmitters automatically will comply with new frequency regulations if being used with new DSR800 receivers operating from 550.1 to 662.9MHz depending on the selected country block.  Please note that 548.1 to 550.1MHz and 662.9 to 697.9MHz ranges are no longer supported. Please note that these new frequency ranges supersede those shown in the DMS800 manual.

· New DHT800/DPT800 transmitters are limited to 20mW RF output power instead of 50mW (except of 1U5 DHT800, which is limited to 10mW by law).  However, due to improved receiver sensitivity at low RF levels, wireless operating range is comparable between new and previous DMS800 systems.
