Summary:
Several requests were received over the years to improve channel mute visibility while operating in Follow Output Solo (FLW) mode, often known as “Sends on Faders” mode. This feature was implemented in Vi Series software version 6.4.7 and is available in release 6.4.7.353 and later.
Details:
When operating in FLW (Sends on Faders) mode, the channel ON/OFF buttons are reassigned to control the Aux send ON/OFF status. As a result, it was previously not possible to see whether a channel itself was muted while viewing and adjusting monitor sends.
This could lead to situations where a channel send was enabled, but no audio was present because the channel was muted.
Several customers requested a visual indication of channel mute status while working in FLW mode. The requested enhancement was reviewed and subsequently implemented as part of the Vi Series 6.4.7 software update.
Feature Description:
Channel Muted Indication in FLW (Sends on Faders) Mode
When a channel send is enabled in FLW mode but the corresponding channel is muted, the channel ON button will flash red and green to indicate the muted channel state. This allows engineers to identify muted channels while working on monitor mixes without leaving FLW mode.
The indication also applies when a channel is muted through a VCA Group or Mute Group assignment.
Software Version Information:
The feature was originally released in software version 6.4.7.351 in August 2024. Two maintenance releases followed shortly afterwards, resulting in version 6.4.7.353 becoming the final release version of the 6.4.7 software update.

Troubleshooting:
If channel mute status is not indicated while operating in FLW (Sends on Faders) mode, verify that the console is running software version 6.4.7.353 or later.
