Varia Series: Password Protection Bypass and Push Event Handling on Protected Buttons

On AMX Varia series touch panels running firmware v1.11.29 or v1.11.31, pressing a password-protected G5 button fails to prompt for password entry on screen and immediately transmits a push notification to the NetLinx controller. This behavior deviates from standard Modero G5 behavior, which suppresses controller notifications until correct password verification occurs. Updating Varia panel firmware to v1.11.37 (incorporating app version 1.6.2) resolves the password prompt defect and aligns touch notification security with G5 standards.

Download firmware version v1.11.37 (or higher) for AMX Varia panels from the official AMX website or Help Center.
Apply the firmware update to the Varia touch panel using NetLinx Studio, Web UI, or Manager.
