Customers may find that the power rating printed on an individual loudspeaker driver differs from the power rating published in the loudspeaker system specifications.  This is expected behavior and does not necessarily indicate a documentation error.  In loudspeaker systems that incorporate a passive crossover network, the published system power rating reflects the performance of the complete loudspeaker assembly, while the driver label typically refers only to the standalone driver's rating.

In loudspeaker systems that use a passive crossover network, the crossover remains part of the signal path and distributes energy between the low, mid, and high frequency sections of the system.  As a result, the published loudspeaker specification reflects the power handling capability of the complete system rather than the low-frequency driver alone.
