If you need to sequentially renumber items in NetLinx Studio, this is easy to do by using a feature in the Edit menu, Sequentially Renumber Selection.
This feature has already been assigned the Edit menu hotkey M, so to use it you can press Alt-E to bring up the Edit menu then press M.
Sequentially Renumber Faster:
This feature has already been assigned the Edit menu hotkey M, you can press Alt-E to bring up the Edit menu then press M to renumber a selection. However, a quicker key combination for this is Ctrl-Alt-R:
- Open the Settings menu/Preferences window
- Select the Keyboard tab
- Change the Category to Edit
- Scroll down the Commands and select Sequentially Renumber Selection
- Press Ctrl-Alt-R on your keyboard, it will a appear in the Press New Shortcut Key field
- Press the Assign button
- Ctrl-Alt-R will now appear in the in Current Keys field
