Question:
Why do my custom host/ local play images not show on SVSi N2400 units?
Answer:
The N2400 series units cache the custom-images on boot, until these are cached you will see the default host / local play screen if no valid stream is routed or the units are manually set to a playlist.
The time taken for the image to be cached depends on the size of the image, for example:
A 3840x2160 (2160p) image will take 5 minutes to be fully cached.
A 1280x720 (720p) image will take 4 minutes to be fully cached.
