MAC One: Unexpected, Random Delay During Fast Color Cut Changes
Table of Contents
Brand:
- Martin
Affected Products:
- MAC One
Summary:
In some show conditions, MAC One fixtures may exhibit slight timing differences during rapid color cut transitions, causing a small number of fixtures to change color slightly later than others. This behavior is most noticeable during certain color changes and when using fast transition effects. Customers tested the issue and presist both on firmware version 1.1.0 and 1.1.1.
Troubleshooting:
- Place multiple MAC One fixtures side-by-side and ensure they receive the same DMX data,
- create a sequence that performs rapid color cut changes,
- trigger the cue repeatedly while observing all fixtures simultaneously,
- check for the following symptoms:
- One or more fixtures change color slightly later than the others.
- Some fixtures appear to perform a brief fade instead of an instantaneous cut.
- The delay occurs inconsistently and may not affect the same fixture every time.
If you observe fixtures changing color at slightly different times during rapid color cut transitions, make sure you update them to the latest firmware version. Issue got resolved in firmware version 1.2.0.
If the procedure above did not resolve your issue, please contact HARMAN Support for next steps.
