Question:

Is it possible to open or import a London Architect design file in Audio Architect?

Answer:

No, it is not possible to open a London Architect design file in Audio Architect.  There are no mechanisms to convert the design file or custom panels from one application to the other despite the similarity in functionality.  It is also not possible to use Audio Architect to go online to a device configured with London Architect and then extract the DSP configuration.

The London Architect design file needs to be re-created in Audio Architect including the following items:

Device Name

CobraNet input signal names

Device Node address AVB input signal names

Device Properties

AVB stream assignments

BLU-10 assignments

Control Input assignments

BLU-8 assignments

Logic Output assignments

DSP configuration and parameter settings

3-Wire Mode settings

Logic configuration and parameter settings

Custom Control Panels

Parameter Presets

Static Routes

BLU link channel assignments Time Zone

BLU link busses Users, permissions and passwords

BLU link Mastership Priority System Layout Notes and images

Dante input signal names Crown CTS and Macro-Tech amplifiers

CobraNet bundle assignments

Crown amplifiers settings

Implications for Third Party Control

Attention should be paid to DSP processing objects and Logic objects that are under third party control.  These objects are addressed using Node Address and Object ID.  These should be preserved to avoid re-programming the third party controller.  Node Address can be modified in the device Properties in Audio Architect.  Object IDs can be modified in the object's properties in Audio Architect.

Unsupported Features

It is not necessary to re-create the following items as they are not supported in Audio Architect:

System Layout objects

PC Control Groups

System Layout wires

Design Documents
Device configurations

Gallery

Device Presets

Event logs stored in design file

Audio Macros

 Design File Security

 Logic Macros

 Box Security

Custom Control Panel pages

 BSS MiniDrive FDS-334, FDS-336·
 Custom Control Panel child pages

 BSS Omnidrive FDS-366
