Overview:
Unable to save files / shows. Yellow warning symbol displayed next to Default Show.

Description:
When a yellow warning symbol appears next to the Default Show on a Soundcraft SI Impact console, the system is indicating that it cannot properly access or write to its internal storage.
As a result, users may be unable to save shows or files to the console.
This condition is typically related to internal memory access issues, corrupted show data, firmware mismatches, or USB-related conflicts.
Possible Causes:
One or more of the following conditions may lead to this behavior:
- The currently loaded show file is corrupted.
- Internal flash memory did not mount correctly during boot.
- The console is running an outdated firmware version.
- Incompatible or faulty USB storage device connected during startup.
Resolution / Troubleshooting Steps:
Please follow the steps below in the given order:
1. Power-Cycle the Console
- Power off the console.
- Remove any connected USB storage devices.
- Wait at least 10 seconds.
- Power the console back on.
2. Verify Firmware Version
- Check the currently installed firmware version.
- Update the console to the latest available Soundcraft SI Impact firmware if required.
3. Test with a Different USB Drive
- Use a different USB flash drive.
- Format the drive as FAT32.
- Recommended size: 8–32 GB.
- Avoid USB 3.0 drives where possible.
4. Initialize Console (Reset Internal Show Structure)
If the warning persists:
- Navigate to the System menu.
- Perform Initialize Console.
⚠️ Important:
Initializing the console will erase internal show data. Ensure any required data is backed up before proceeding.
If the Issue Persists
If the yellow warning symbol remains after completing all steps above, the issue is likely related to the internal flash memory of the console.
Further evaluation or service may be required.
Additional Notes:
- Avoid powering the console on or off while USB devices are connected.
- Always safely remove USB drives before disconnecting them.
- Keep firmware up to date to prevent file system and compatibility issues.
