Enabling Support for HiQnet in Soundweb OMNI

Overview:
This article will cover the setup needed in Soundweb OMNI to support HiQnet devices in AVX Architect.
Description:
HiQnet is needed to use the JSON import feature for legacy HiQnet systems [i.e. Soundweb London and Crown Amplifiers] and Contrio controllers in AVX Architect.
Prerequisites:
- Soundweb OMNI 256p or 512p
- Windows PC networked to the Soundweb OMNI
- AVX Suite installed
Instructions:
- Launch AVX Architect
- Open the project and select the OMNI processor
- In the PROPERTIES pane scroll down to SYSTEM.
- Set MUSE to On
- Deploy the project to the system.
Your system will now support the HiQnet JSON import and configuration of Contrio controllers.
Note:
Soundweb OMNI is shipped with the internal MUSE processor already configured to translate HiQnet to HControl. If after performing the above procedure you still cannot get HiQnet working, you may need to enable HiQnet in the MUSE. Follow the instructions in the following article to enable HiQnet in the MUSE processor:
