SOUNDWEB LONDON Logic Output Ports
Table of Contents
Overview:
Soundweb London devices provide two methods in driving external devices from logic outputs; Source or Sink

Minimum Maximum Conditions
Source capability 10.5m A
Sink capability before current limit 60m A
Voltage between port and ground 50V
Relay coil resistance 400ohms Ext. supply=24V
200ohms Ext. supply=12V
Current source

This is intended for LEDs. The unit can supply up to 10.5m A at around 5V. An LED can be connected directly without the need for a current limit resistor. Set the control port for normal mode.
Current sink

This is intended for relays and higher power devices. The unit can sink up to 60m A from an external supply. If more current is driven into the port, the control port automatically decreases its ability to sink current, protecting the circuitry. As there is hysteresis within this circuit, the full sink capability will not return until current is decreased to below 60m A. Set the control port for inverted mode.
