Overview:

This article explains the correct method for powering the JBL EON ONE Compact ON and OFF, helping users avoid common mistakes that can make the speaker appear unresponsive.

Follow these steps to properly turn the speaker ON:

Many users repeatedly press and hold the power button while trying to turn the speaker on.  Because the EON ONE Compact is designed to power up with a short press, holding the button may cause users to miss the intended startup sequence, creating the impression that the speaker powers on "randomly."

Power ON Sequence

✅ Power ON: Short press the power button (less than 2 seconds), until you see the Bluetooth button blink red briefly;  then you can let go of the power button.

❌ Power ON ≠ Press and hold indefinitely

Follow these steps to properly turn the speaker OFF:

The correct shutdown sequence is to press and hold the power button until all LED's are off.

Power OFF Sequence

✅ Power OFF: Press and hold the power button until all LED's are off.

❌ Power OFF ≠ Short press and release
