RUSH Blinder HOLD Function Not Working in Offline Mode

Brand:
- Martin
Affected Products:
- RUSH BLINDER 1 WW
Summary:
A firmware issue was identified on RUSH Blinder fixtures running firmware version 1.6, where the Offline Mode → HOLD functionality did not operate correctly. When the DMX signal was removed, the fixture output turned off instead of maintaining the last received state.
Testing confirmed that the issue was present on firmware v1.6 but not on firmware v1.2, indicating a firmware regression.
Troubleshooting:
Engineering reproduced the issue and developed a firmware fix. The correction was released as firmware version 1.6.1 in December, 2023, which restores proper HOLD behavior when the DMX signal is lost.
Customers experiencing this issue should update affected fixtures to firmware v1.6.1 or later through Martin Companion. Once updated, fixtures correctly retain their output according to the configured HOLD setting when DMX is disconnected.
