Question:
Why do my BLU link audio levels drop in gain between multiple crown amplifiers?
Answer:
With a London BLU processor feeding audio to a Crown amplifier over BLU link, audio levels will be less on each amp in the chain. IE: 1st amplifier is -3db from source. 2nd amp is -6db. 3rd amplifier is -9db.
Crown amplifiers can only sample audio at 48 kHz when using BLU link audio. This means, in Audio Architect, when programming the amplifier properties, under the sample rate under the pulldown menu, “None" must be selected. If this setting is set for 47.952kHz, you will have audio issues with the amplifiers.
