Overview:

Instructions for setting the amplifier to 70v output.

Procedure:

To put a CDi 1000 2000 4000 or 6000 amplifier from normal 4/8ohm operation (Low Z) to 70V operation (High Z). These amps ship from the factory in Low Z mode by default.

  1. Press MENU 1 time.
  2. Press NEXT 1 time to highlight “Config"
  3. Press MENU 1 time to go into the Config settings.
  4. Press NEXT 1 time to select “High Z" for channel 1.
  5. Press ENTER 1 time to set channel 1 for 70V.
  6. Press NEXT 1 time to select “High Z" for channel 2.
  7. Press ENTER 1 time to set channel 2 for 70V.
  8. When the word “Stereo" appears, wait about 8 seconds for the display to time out and go to the default display screen.
  9. Check to make sure the icons for CH1 and CH2 have the 70V icon lit up to the right. The XOV icon will also be lit up. The amp automatically sets up a 70 hz HP filter when using 70V mode. Leave this be.
