In this tutorial, we explore the Media Player object in AVX Architect’s Virtual View, which allows you to play back stored audio files from your Soundweb OMNI DSP. Learn playback-specific terminology, how to use the factory panel, and matching audio files from the DSP.
Transcript
In this video, we’re going to quickly walk through the factory panel of the media player object. We cover uploading audio files for the media player in a different video, so check out that video for information on preparing audio files for playback.
When you open the factory panel for the Media Player object, the audio file name must be copied to the File Name section. This “matched” indicator will show green when the processor has detected an audio file with the matching name. To the right of the Matched indicator are the playback controls. Pressing “Play”, we’ll see the meters active here in the top right corner of the factory panel, along with Rise Time, Fall Time, and Offset controls like the Meter object. Playback can also be paused, stopped, looped, and these can all be dragged into a custom panel for control or even into the virtual view for logic
