Description:
The Wire Tag can be found at the bottom of the VIRTUAL view and SYSTEM view libraries.

A Wire Tag is an object with an input and an output that functions as a representation of a wire. Wire Tags are useful for cleaning up views that may be difficult to read due to excessive wire connections.
A Signal Generator connected to a Meter through a Wire Tag demonstrates its functionality.

Even without a visible wire connection between the two Wire Tag points, the connection is established, and audio passes from the Signal Generator to the Meter through the Wire Tag.
Wire Tags are helpful in designs with numerous overlapping wire points, which can make routing difficult to follow.

Using Wire Tags simplifies the view while maintaining the same routing configuration.
Wire Tags are also useful for connecting objects located on opposite sides of the workspace in a clean and organized manner.

Wire Tags can also be used to distribute the same signals to multiple places within the workspace.

Wire Tags can also be added by right-clicking directly in the workspace and selecting Wire Tag, or by using the shortcut Control + Shift + T.

In the PROPERTIES window, standard options for object name and workspace location are available. DSP allocation does not show in the PROPERTIES pane as it does not apply to Wire Tags.

The channel count of the Wire Tag can be adjusted in the OPTIONS section.

The color of the Wire Tag can be modified under Fill using the color picker or by entering RGBA or Hex values for precise color selection.

Wire Tags can be copied and pasted, but behavior differs depending on whether the input or output block is copied.
Copying the output block and pasting creates an exact copy of the output block, effectively creating a Y-connection from the input to multiple outputs.

Copying the input block duplicates the entire Wire Tag. Pasting after copying the input block results in both the input and output blocks being added.

If you right click on the Wire Tag transmitter, you will also have an option to Create New Receiver.
