AVX Architect:
The Dashboard is displayed when AVX Architect is opened.

The Dashboard houses your projects and handles basic project management. Each one of these tiles is a project that's stored on the computer. These are not stored files, they databases that are storing changes in real time to protect the project data and to optimize performance on larger projects.
The Dashboard has a search feature, so typing here we can directly search for a project by name.

By the search are filter options to sort the projects. The default is Newest to Oldest, which shows the last modified project files first. Projects can also be sorted alphabetically.

The pin button next to the filters will cause only pinned projects to be shown.

Each tile will show the project name, the last time the project was modified, and the version of the software it was opened with.

The section below can display short project notes or descriptions.

Clicking the ellipsis displays additional options.
The Pin option to pin the project.

The Edit option to edit the name and description.

The Export option, which similarly acts like a “Save As" function, so you can save the AVX Project File to a drive location for backup purposes or for reverting to earlier builds.

Finally, you can delete projects as well with the Delete option. Useful for removing excess clutter or projects you're no longer working on.

Clicking Create New Project from the Dashboard will create a new project.

This can also be done by clicking the hamburger button in the top left and selecting Create New Project from the file menu.

Both methods will open the Create New Project window where the project can be named and a description added.

Clicking Create will finish the process and open the newly created project.
The project name is shown in the top left.

Remember that since these projects are databases, any changes made are committed instantly with no need to save.
The shortcut to export a project file is Control+Shift+S, which will bring up the export window.

Project files default to save in the “Documents/Harman Pro/AVX Desktop" folder.
Exported project files can then be imported by the “Import from Computer" option.

This is useful for creating incremental backups or sharing project files with other users or computers.
Selecting Import From Computer will open the default location in the “AVX Desktop" folder displaying any previously exported project files. Selecting a project will display a warning that a new project will be added to this computer's database, and that new changes made will not be saved to the exported AVX Project file.

The last option is Import from Device Network. If there is an OMNI device connected to the network, then this option will allow the import of the AVX Project file from the device.

This window will show all the projects on the network and the time they were deployed. If you have multiple projects on the network, you can select the Devices button to get a drop-down list of all the devices on the network that are hosting that project.

Click Import and the project file will be imported to the Dashboard.
