Description:
The Summer object is found in the virtual view, under the Mixers/Gains section of the audio processing objects.

The Summer object will simply allow the combination, or summing, of incoming audio signals. An example would be a left and right signal combined into a single mono signal.

The Summer object has no default panel and no controls since everything is handled at unity gain. It performs only the function of combining the incoming signals.
Under the OPTIONS section, the number of processing block input channels can be changed. The value can be typed in directly or by using the bump up/down buttons. The lowest number is 1, and the highest number is 512 as is common with many of our processing objects.

The Stereo option will add a second output to the Summer object. Even though one doesn’t typically think of a Summer in stereo, this can be useful for summing multiple stereo input sources while maintaining a stereo-split output. This means that all of the left, or odd number input channels will be summed to the first output, and all of the right, or even number input channels will be summed to the second output.
