Port Connectivity Verification Process:
CloudworX and by extension HControl runs on network port 4197. The easiest check to see if these ports are open is to attempt to connect to a device on this port.
Using Putty, select connection type “Raw", put in your IP address, and type in port 4197. From there you should be able to type in anything and press Enter. You should receive the response: “@unrecognized {“unrecognized":"*what you typed*"} .
You can run through this same process to connect to the Gateway, but you won't receive a response when you type something into its prompt.
Here's a full list of required CloudworX port availability:
- 4197 on private subnets for HControl
- Outbound port 5671 to connect to Azure Cloud Service Bus
- 8182 on private subnets for WebSockets
