Question:
Why is my ComTech D, CTD amplifier, Dante port not working? Why is the Dante port on my amplifier not functioning correctly after power cycling? Why is the CTD amplifier not showing up in Dante Controller?
Answer:
Dante communication issues are due to the CTD series amplifiers being setup in "Split" networking mode, where network port A and B are on two different VLANs but both network ports are left in APIPA with a DHCP server ending up in the same subnet. For example: 169.254.0.0/16. When this occurs, the Dante VLAN on Port B is disabled. Each port needs its own subnet mask in ‘Split’ mode.
