Logic Pulse - Logic Begins | AVX Architect
In this tutorial, we cover the Logic Pulse object in AVX Architect’s Virtual View, which generates on and off pulses at user-defined intervals for advanced logic control. Learn where to find the Logic Pulse object in the Virtual Library, understand conditions for high and low states, and explore its properties and options for system automation.

In this video, we’ll continue to explore the Virtual View of AVX Architect and look at the Logic Pulse Object. The Logic Pulse is found in the Virtual view, under the “Begin” section of the Logic processing objects. The Logic Pulse produces on and off logic pulses at user defined intervals.
The Logic Pulse object has no factory panel. All the parameters available for this object are found on the right, in the “Properties” window. The “Properties” window has the usual naming, workspace location, and DSP allocation settings. The “Options” section contains our settings for defining On/Off intervals, which can also be thought of as High/Low. Note that the values are in multiples of 100ms. For example, a setting of 10 will correspond to 1000ms, or 1 second.
Lastly, there is a Type dropdown for changing between “Normal” and “Startup” modes. In “Normal” mode, the Logic Pulse object will pulse on/off at the user defined intervals indefinitely. This is useful for creating a timing event or count event. In “Startup” mode, the object will pulse only once on startup, such as when the device is powered up or when the configuration is loaded. In this configuration, upon startup the output of the logic pulse will be off for the specified "Off time", then on for the "On time", then it will stay off until the device is rebooted or the configuration is re-loaded. This is a useful feature if you wish to recall a preset or action upon device startup.
